To ensure the correct watertightness of the building structure, we believe it is essential to carry out the correct treatment of the concrete joints. To achieve this and taking into account the best cost-benefit for our client, we use two systems depending on the conditions of the work, the water table present in the land and/or constant contact with water as is the case with tanks or swimming pools.
When placing these joints, not only must the different concreting times, called cold joints, be taken into account, but also, according to the standard's recommendation, we must induce cracking in the walls in a controlled manner between distances of 8 to 12 m, depending on the height of the wall.
